Course Objective Temel resim kuram ve kavramlarını ayırt edebilme, Bir resmi dönem, teknik ve içerik bakımından analiz edebilecek görsel ve kültürel bilgi ve beceri edinebilme. Farklı teknik ve malzemeleri deneyip, sanat eserleriyle örnekleyerek kendi eğilimlerine uygun görsel bir dil oluşturabilme.
Course Content This course introduces basic painting conceptions and theories. Students therefore, can analyze a painting in terms of its period, technique, and context and have the ability to comprehend the art work visually and culturally. Students also practice different techniques and materials so that they can compare their art work to masters’ works in order to find their individual voices and styles. That approach will enable students to perceive the art works as a unique way of expression. In addition to this, students are required to relate their work to different disciplines and contemporary art practices. Within the possibilities of students, bianel, fair, exhibition etc. it is advisable to visit places. In addition, students are required to learn about exhibition methods, process, presentation techniques and portfolio preparation, apply these knowledge and comply with ethical rules in all processes.
