COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective To introduce the world mythology together with the definition of mythology and how they reflect on plastic arts and to be able to do iconographic analysis of these works.
Course Content The subject of the lesson is mythology and iconography, the relation of mythology with art is mentioned; examine the mythologies of different cultures; mythological and iconographic concepts are introduced on the basis of illustrations on works such as vases, wall paintings, mosaics, paintings, sculptures, reliefs.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Recognizes whether the text described is mythological text.
2Knows how my myths are perceived over time.
3Explains the differences between myth and fairy tales and myths with examples.
4By learning the structure and function of myths, examines their current life situation.
5Describes how a belief has become myth.
6Analyzes the properties of different mythological accounts
7Evaluates the forms of reflection of mythology on works of art.
8Pre-iconography, Iconography and iconology concepts to understand the image analysis.
