Course Objective The aim of this course is to develop the ability of students to understand the sociological dimension of art, the relationship between modern art and modern sociology and to provide them an in depth comprehension of the development, dynamics, characteristics of creative artistry thoughout art history.
Course Content By considering and reviewing art as a social process, students gain knowledge about art and society interaction, gain theoretical, historical and sociological perspectives on the relationship between art and society; evaluation of art with sociological criteria, socio-political, socio-cultural, socio-economic conditions and arts, arts and culture industry.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
