Course Objective
Knowing the basic concepts of the Orff approach, recognizing Orff instruments, performing works with these instruments, and using this approach as a general musical education tool with various applications.
Course Content
To have knowledge about Carl Orff and Orff Approach (formation, development, purpose); Recognizing Orff instruments; Knowing the characteristics of Orff instruments; Singing simple monophonic and polyphonic melodies with Orff instruments; Using Orff instruments as a general musical education tool; Performing comprehensive polyphonic works with Orff instruments; To use Orff instruments in sub-applications of the Orff approach (accompaniment, dramatization, rhythm, movement, animation, etc.); Making improvisations using Orff instruments; Developing and reinforcing the skill of making music together with Turkish and world music examples by forming an Orff orchestra.
