Course Objective
With the penetration of digital technologies into all areas of life, the field of humanities has undoubtedly been affected by this process, and Digital Humanities and more specifically digital history have emerged as a new academic field. Digital history is a very broad definition that covers different areas of expertise such as spatial research, text analysis and network analysis, and the variety and scope of use is expanding day by day. Familiarity with and use of these methods is the aim of this course.
Course Content
The content of this course is to chart paths for Digital Humanities and digital historical research, to raise awareness of new methodologies in humanities research, and more importantly to create an environment for the applied digital research process.
