Course Objective The purpose of Media Literacy course is; to acquire basic knowledge and skills related to media literacy of the students, to be able to use these achievements as a framework in their media related experiences and to develop sensitivity towards related problems all over the world, especially in the environment they live in.
Course Content Television, advertisements, print media, internet etc. the ability to reach, analyze, evaluate and communicate messages in the media; application to appropriate teaching skills for a critical point of view towards written, audiovisual media; media literacy program, communication access; mass media; the effects of media and media on social, cultural and economic life; television broadcasting in our country; access to information on the internet; practicing events such as news reading, chatting, e-mail, distance education, games; critical reading and propaganda techniques of media; family and media; children and the media; introduction of stimulant icons on the television; to recognize journals and their types.
