Course Objective The aim of this course is to provide an understanding of Turkey's population, settlement characteristics and the structure and development of economic activities
Course Content General characteristics of Turkey's human geography. Population development and population policies in Turkey. Characteristics of the Turkey population. Internal and external migrations. Population density and distribution. Historical development of settlement in Turkey. Rural settlements; Urban settlements and their distribution. main problems of rural and urban areas. General characteristics of the Turkish economy. Agriculture, animal husbandry, forestry in Turkey. Branches, development and distribution of industry in Turkey. Transportation, trade and tourism in Turkey.
