Course Objective Within the scope of this course, it is aimed to inform the student about research methods. It is aimed that the student will have the knowledge and ability to form research hypotheses by gaining the knowledge of how to choose the research topic, what can and cannot be the research topic. Depending on the data collection in the application process of the research, it is thought that the student will acquire the necessary distinctions and features about the distinction between qualitative and quantitative research and its application areas. Again in this process, it is foreseen to transfer data evaluation methods depending on the type of research and it is aimed for the student to acquire information about how these evaluation forms will be. At the last stage, the student is expected to learn the academic language and stylistic features, and to have the knowledge of the basic rules of report writing.
Course Content The student who completes this course answers the question of what is science. Uses research methods in reaching, analyzing and using scientific information. Examines scientific knowledge in the context of social sciences and conveys the research process in detail.
