COURSE DESCRIPTION
Course Level Bachelor's Degree

Course Objective Within the scope of this course, it is aimed to teach students basic ecological concepts, ecosystem ecology, major ecosystems of the world, environmental problems, biodiversity, sustainability, causes of global climate change, effects on aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems and measures to prevent climate change.
Course Content Basic ecological concepts and principles, ecosystems, food chains, food web, habitat, competition; studies on institutions and organizations related to common life and mutual life, energy flow, circulation of material, population increase, ecological impact, erosion, soil and water resources, environmental sensitivity, environmental sensitivity in the world; environmental education in secondary education programs. Climate change in the past; predicting future climate change, effects of global climate change on water and terrestrial ecosystems; effects on the marine environment, agriculture and human infrastructure, United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Kyoto Protocol, measures to prevent climate change.
