COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective The aim of this course is to provide students with an understanding of citizenship knowledge, to train a strong individual and an effective citizen who respects human rights.
Course Content Citizenship knowledge and its relationship with other sciences, Human and human rights, Historical development of human rights, Human rights generations and rights, State and forms of state, Democracy and forms of democracy, Forms of democracy (in terms of purpose), Forms of democracy (In terms of the desired goal to be achieved), History of the Turkish Constitution from the Ottoman Empire to the Republic, Proclamation of the Republic and the Constitution of 1924, The Constitution of 1961 and 1982 and its specifics, Modifications to the Constitution of 1982 and the Presidential System of Government.
