Course Objective	Explaining and embodying the effects of geography, human and communication elements that triggered the political, cultural, commercial and social developments of humanity from the earliest ages of humanity to the present day.
Course Content	Prehistoric period and certain settlements of the prehistoric period, the development of humanity in prehistory, the first village settlements, city-states and their contributions to civilization, the characteristics of Mesopotamian, Egyptian and Anatolian civilizations and their contributions to humanity, Indo-Chinese and American civilizations, Aegean, Greek and Roman civilizations and legacy of these civilizations.
Prerequisites	No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite	No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES

1	Will be able to explain the scope and sources of ancient history.
2	History defines the nature and subject of history.
3	Defines the scope of ancient history.

5	Will be able to describe ancient civilizations from past to present.
6	Explain the Mediterranean, Mesopotamian and Egyptian civilizations.
7	Explain the characteristics of Chinese, Indian and American civilizations and their contributions to world civilization.
8	Describes Aegean and Greek Civilizations, Hellenic Civilization, Roman Civilization.
9	Identify the similarities and differences of these civilizations.
10	Will be able to examine the effects of ancient civilizations on the development of humanity and today.

12	Compares the economic life from prehistoric times to the present.
13	Discusses the political life from prehistoric times to the present.
