Course Objective The aim of this course is to teach prospective teachers the P4C (philosophy for children and communities) method, which is accepted as an effective teaching method by UNESCO and is widely used in many countries around the world. through this course, prospective teachers can develop not only their philosophical inquiry skills, but also their critical, creative, caring thinking and cooperative learning skills that they can apply for their future classroom or different groups.
Course Content The historical and theoretical foundations of philosophy for children and communities (P4C), the philosophical origins of P4C, games in philosophical inquiry, major areas of philosophy, the use of P4C in different fields in education, the stimulus in the philosophical inquiry process, the formation of philosophical questions in the philosophical inquiry sessions, themes, methods used in P4C, childhood history, analysis of children's books for P4C applications, lesson design for P4C applications.
