Course Objective This lessons purposing to the teacher candidates; at the chilhood stage meeting qualifed children book and have a reading cultures,thinking,susceptibility abilities during formed ,children training with child literature’s productions functions demonstrate with example.
Course Content The history of the children’s literature both in Turkey and in the world. The function of the literary works produced fort he children in the rearing of sensitive individuals, cultural people and the importance of meeting high quality children’s books. Studying the features that must be placed in the children’s books by examples. Showing the low quality children’s books and discussing the negative effects of those on the children. Studies fort he prospective teachers to be able to decide on which books are useful fort he children and what benefits these books will provide fort he students. Determining the benefits of some literary kinds (legends, tales, poems, stories, etc) and lingusitic means (riddles, tongue twisters, etc.) on the children.
