Course Objective Develop an understanding about basic concepts and theories of pschology in students to constitute an awareness for recognizing themselves and their environment.
Course Content Basic concepts, research in psychology, approaches in psychology, defence mechanisms, achievement and anxiety, learning and development, communication, attitude, consistency theories, social effect and adjustment, perception, memory, motivation, cognition, shema, abnormal behaviours, psychological counseling approaches.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Develop an understanding to recognize the individual using basic assumptions, principles, generalizations, theories in literature and research results.
2Observe the behaviour of the individual, realize the differences between the personality and the contextual behaviour
3Know the needs of the person (basic, developmental and existencial), realize that the individual well being is based on a psychological balance and thus by this understanding to communicate with others and practice necessary applications
4Use the general understanding gained in this course in educational practices
