COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective	During the course, students learn concept of mental health, importance of mental health in school, definition of normal-abnormal behaviors, definition and causes of various childhood psychopathologies and adaptation disorders. .
Course Content	Definition of mental health,importance,historical development of mental health,concerned theory with mental health, speciality of have mental health person and haven’t mental health person, behavioral and congruity problems apparent in child (stuttering,mutism,enuresis, enkoprezis,finger suck,nail bitting, aggression, jealousy,tics, obstinacy, insomnia,anomaly of nutrition habit, fright, hiperaktivite,school phobia, burglary, lying) Diagnosis and treatment,affect of special events to child mental health.
Prerequisites	No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite	No the corequisite of lesson.
Mode of Delivery	Face to Face

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES

1	To define mental health and to describe the criteria for normal/anormal behaviors.
2	To describe the differences in mental health characteristics in childhood and in adulthood
3	To explain the genetical, biological and psycho-social factors affecting the mental health of children
4	To describe the differences between fundemental theoretical approaches about the causes and treatment of behavioral and emotional problems.
5	To describe the evaluation methods for behavioral and emotional problems of children.
6	To describe the symptoms of behavioral and emotional problems in children
7	To explain the causes of behavioral and emotional problems in children.
8	To explain medical and psychological treatment methods for behavioral and emotional problems of children.
9	To discuss the suggestions made for families and teachers about the prevention and remediation of behavioral and emotional disorders in children.
10	To apply the principles and methods of applied behavioral analysis for the management of children’s behavioral problems in classroom.
