Course Objective	This course presents a theoretical analysis of religion as a cultural phenomenon. It explores the functional relationships between religion, culture, society, and the individual.
Course Content	Selected works form world mythology will be examined and analysed.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES

1	Follows the emergence and the traits of the myths from past to the 20th century.
2	Recognizes philosophical and ideological system of the myths.
3	Identifies the characteristics of the myths.
4	Analyzes the myths in terms of style, content and theme.
5	Analyzes the relationship of the myths to other literary genres, crossing points and their interactions.
6	Identifies the narrative strategies of the myths.
