Course Objective This course covers the characteristics of the early twentieth century novel with an emphasis on the political, social and economic changes in the era. Novelists studied include Forster, Conrad, Woolf and others.
Course Content 19th century English novel, development of novel as a genre, characteristics of the 19th century English novel, examples.
