COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective The aim of the MA thesis is to have students produce an independent research on a selected topic from English Language and Literature. It is also aimed that through this research the student will develop skills in problem solving and producing original ideas in accordance with scientific rules and ethics using the advanced field knowledge and literary theories to support the argument.
Course Content The thesis is an independent reasearch project on a subject chosen in agreement with the supervisor. The thesis is written in English and should contain literary elements for analysis. The course includes literature search, reading, writing and defense.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.
Mode of Delivery Face to Face

1By determining the subject of the thesis, uses advanced theoritical datas and literary terms
2Search for sources about the thesis
3Defines the aim of the thesis, its target and its contents
4Defines the source books and critical approach of the thesis.
5Examines the sources that can be a reference book to thesis.
6uses the technological devices by constructing a draft of thesis.
7by making presentations, carries on thesis projects freely.
8writes down the chapters of the thesis.
9by making a general overview, solves the problems
10by using advanced information and talents, comments, analyzes, creates comments and outcomes based on searches and evidences
11Have the ability of transforming the datas and experiences gained through thesis
12reads and understands the source books about thesis and transforms these into Turkish.
