Course Objective To develop a geographical view and systematic thinking system
Course Content History of geography, the academic phases of geography from the second half of 19th century, basic geographical approaches, traditions, definitions. Brief introduction of the sub-branches of Human and Physical Geography as academic discipline. Basic systems of thought of geography. Popular geography concept, geography sense today.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Gaining the ability to conduct research using the basic concept, theory and methodology of geography science,
2Gaining the ability of geographical inquiry in the context of human - nature relation
3To understand the functioning and change of natural and human systems
4To acquire knowledge and skills of evaluation by associating these knowledge and skills among dialects with other disciplines (history, geography, philosophy, sociology, anthropology, archeology, etc.)
5To acquire knowledge and skill of associating basic elements of universe with life
6Beginning from the immediate surroundings to develop spatial awareness of the country and the world,
7Recognition of responsibility for the functioning of the ecosystem,
8Be aware of the importance of spatial planning for harmonious coexistence and continuity of nature and man
9Gaining "saving consciousness" in the use of natural and human resources
10Gaining the ability to examine spatial processes in local and global interaction.
11Understanding the importance of making development processes compatible with nature
