Course Objective The aim of this course is to prepare the documentation, cleaning, analysis methods, microbiological sampling, pest control, preventive conservation, storage conditions in museums, libraries and warehouses within the scope of conservation and restoration methods in writing artifacts.
Course Content In the scope of conservation and restoration methods in writing artifacts , tools, materials and materials used, documentation methods in writing artifacts, case detection and basic conservation, microbiological sampling and double-sided completion methods in the loss of parts of the skin and paper, struggle against harmful materials such as mold and insect, cleaning of the spoils, dry cleaning methods, consolidation of skin and pages, Preservation of writings artifacts in library and/or warehouse environment, preventive conservation methods.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
10Examination of material paper artifacts, causes of deterioration, documentation, pre-and post-application procedures, repair after the preparation of documents, such as the storage conditions of theoretical and practical information storage. To be able to make the correct diagnosis of deterioration and types by examining the artifacts of writing. Correction of previously incorrect restorations in writing artifacts, understanding the properties and use of Japanese paper used in restoration, construction/application of paper pulp used in cleaning operations, completion of incomplete, hole sections, determination of folding and glued sheets by Steam Machine. To be able to make use of different interdisciplinary studies, to have professional responsibility and ethical awareness.
