To give knowledge on conservation and restoration methods for the metal object that has corrosion problems because of different physical and chemical processes.
Course Content
First aid procedures to be applied to deterioted metal works: stabilization and cleaning methods (mechanical cleaning, chemical cleaning). Preventive conservation interventions in the excavation laboratory. Conservation and restoration methods and materials (cleaning, desalination and stabilization) of archaeological iron and bronze objects are handled and applied in detail.
