Course Objective To evaluate the production technologies and deterioration processes of metal-made cultural assets.
Course Content Characteristics of cultural assets made of metals such as iron, copper, tin, lead, silver and gold, metal acquisition, preparation of alloys, metal processing techniques, techniques used in the production of metal objects in antiquity. Types and causes of deterioration in metal objects; corrosion chemistry.
