COURSE DESCRIPTION
Course Level Bachelor's Degree
Course Type Elective
Course Objective Recombinant DNA technology has important practical applications in biology and medical field. Therefore, in vivo and in vitro genetical manipulation techniques and methods should be learned by biology students.
Course Content Restriction enzymes: History, what are the restriction enzymes? Why they are so important, and how they work? Vectors: What are the vectors? How to make vector? How to decide and choose a vector for a particular purposes? Polymerase Chain Reaction: History, What is PCR? Where do we use PCR? DNA sequence analysis: Type of methods (Maxime-Gilbert and Singer-Dideoxy methods) Southern Blot Hibridization: What is Southern blot? Where do we use SB? orthern Blot Hibridization: What is nouthern blot? Where do we use NB? Western Blot Hibridization: What is western blot? Where do we use WB? Quantitatif-RT-PCR: What is QRT-PCR? Where do we use QRT-PCR?
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.
Mode of Delivery Face to Face
