Course Objective Sociology and the Turks thought, perception of Turkish society, Mehmet Izzet and his point of view, feudalism and ATÜT discussions,sociology and politics, intellectuals and the sociology, the problems of Turkish society, Ziya Gokalp and New Ottomans, Western andcomments from the underdevelopment - the peasantry and so on. Understanding of the economic structure and independence, NATO and foreign capital, lines of Westernization, modernization efforts and discussions
Course Content Sociology and Turkish thought, to grasp of process of Turkish thought and the perspectives of Turkish intellectuals and eveluation of these Turkish intellectuals,feodalism, ATUT, Ziya Gökalp, Otoman, West and different perspectives, development and underdevelopment, ekonomic structure, comprehension of freedom and economic system, the process of Turkish westernisation and modernisation, NATO
