Course Objective The aim of this course is to introduce the student to the philosophical systems of the most influential thinkers of the 18th century.
Course Content Detailed study of important concerns shared by some 18th century philosophers. The philosophers studied will include Locke, Berkeley, Hume and Kant. The emphasis will be on their contributions to metaphysics, epistemology and ethics. Topics may include the theory of ideas, substance, the mind/body problem, time, and causation.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
