Course Objective The aim of this course is showing the historical and artistic process of Ottoman Art from the beggıning until the 18th Centruy.
Course Content After dwelling on the historical and artistic process from the beggining of the Ottoman empire until the mid of 18th century; style changes in Ottoman art in process from the age of Mahmut II. until the republic will be explained in the light of historical artifacts built during this period.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Will be able to recognize the general character of Ottoman art after classical period.
2Will be able to learn the socio-cultural structure and the reasons of the change in the age of Mahmut II.
3Will be able to emphasize the general character of the structures due to the empire style.
4Will be able to comprehend the planning and decoration features of the architectural monuments in Istanbul.
5Will be able to explain the changes in the effect of western art on the architectural monuments of Istanbul and identify and compare the differences in their own and the classical period of Ottoman Art.
6Will be able to explain the features of architectural monuments and handcrafts in them in capital and the provinces in the age of Abdülmecid.
7Will be able to define the differences and their reasons between the art of Istanbul and the provinces.
8Will be able to give detailed information about the important structures built in anatolia in the age of Abdülmecid and recognize the paintings in the architectural monuments in provinces in this period and after.
