Course Objective The aim of course is defining and introducing the handcrafts produced between 15th-18th centuries belong to Ottoman art, define basic style features and environment which they created.
Course Content Illumination, marbleization, calligraphy, wooden and metallic objects, which are Turk-Islamic handcrafts, and technical and stylistic features of them will be explained.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Will be able to define relations of Ottoman art with different cultures lived in same geography.
2Will be able to recognize varieties, style and iconographic features of Ottoman handcrafts.
3Will be able to define basic ornamentation styles of Ottoman art and their creation process.
4Will be able to identify Ottoman handcraft works, idenitities of craftsmans and their working techniques and organization.
5Will be able to have a vision about reasons of resemblance of style in different type and material.
6Will be able to discuss patronage of palace and role of tutelars on art.
