Course Objective The aim of the course is to recognize Archaic, Classical, Hellenistic and Roman period Anatolian coins. The objectives of this course are to determine titles of emperors, to recognize mints and their signs.
Course Content The birth of coins and its definition, the general features of coin, the metal of coin and its weight measurements, the minting and the using of coin, the types of coins will be mentioned.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1To be able to recognize Archaic, Classical and Hellenistic coins of Anatolia
2To be able to recognize Roman coins of Anatolia
3To be able to identify titles of emperors, the signs of mints and personifications.
4To be able to investigate economical values of coins obtained by a systematic archaeological excavation
5To be able to examine economical politics and coins of different cities and states.
