Course Objective To be able to examine the urban plans from the Archaic Period and to have knowledge about the urban types. To evaluate the new elements added to the cities during the Roman Imperial Period. To examine some metropolitan cities in Anatolia. To describe all details of the capital Rom and compare with the Anatolian cities. To be able to express their knowledge and experiences in writing. Learning the geography of ancient Anatolia. However, in some ancient regions, the cities and structures that come to the fore in detail, so that the classic concept of the city to tell.
Course Content All the dynamics and elements of the cities established during the process from the Archaic Period to the Byzantine Period. The relationship between the city and its territory. Urban types and their reflections in Anatolia. Political and social structure in ancient cities. The parameters of the city economy.
