COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective	To understand the chronology of the third and second millennia BC in Anatolia and in the neighborhood. To be able to understand the Dynamics of Anatolian Early Bronze Age and its cultural interactions with its surroundings. To be able to recognize the main characteristics of the Middle Bronze Age in Anatolia and to evaluate the definition of Assyrian Trade Colonies Period within this context.
Course Content	During this course, Anatolian Early and Middle Bronze will be explained. The political and cultural relations of Anatolia with Syro-Mesopotamia, Balkans, and Aegean during 3rd and the first half of 2nd millennia will also be mentioned. The aim of the lesson is to explain students the dynamics of the period which prepares the basis for the first kingdoms.

4	To be able to describe the Anatolian trade colony period, its main cities and principal trade routes
