Course Objective The aim of the course is analyzed that the Archaic and Classical sculpture of Greek. The objectives of this course are, to analyze social and politic structure benefited by sculpture in archaic and classical period.
Course Content Beginning from 650’s B.C. to the end of 4th century B.C, the development of Greek sculpture will be introduced. Sculpting works produced in Anatolia, Islands and Hellas will be analyzed. The development of sculpting schools, style and period features will be explained.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

1To be able to understand the evolution of sculpture form the Archaic period to the end of Classical period.
2To be able to describe the phases of archaic and classical sculpture in relation with historical and political events.
3To be able to recognize the main characteristics of Archaic period.
4To be able to recognize the main characteristics of Classical period.
