Course Objective	The aims of the course are to know the foundation and development of museums in Turkey, to recognize the important museums and finds in Turkey. The objective of the course is to express the knowledge and experience in writing about research subject that is a museum.
Course Content	Some themes such as the establishment and progression history of museum studies in the world and Turkey, the elements of museum, the aims of museums, aggregation, documentation, conservation and education will be discussed.
Prerequisites	No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite	No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES

1	Knows the foundations and developments of museums in Turkey
2	Knows the principal museums of Turkey
3	Recognize archaeological, ethnographical, private, urban museums which are museum types in Turkey
4	Understand the importance of documentation and expositions in museums
5	Understand the basic requirements of modern museum such as education
6	Have a consciousness about how to protect cultural heritage
7	Is able to present the results of an original research about a museum.
