COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective The aims of the course are to know establishment and development of museums in the world, to recognize museums and finds in Europe, to understand museum buildings and sections of the museum, to understand the exhibition process and documentations in museums. The objectives of the courses are to understand the necessity of education or other issues in modern museology, to become conscious about the presentation of cultural assets, protection and restoration process in museums.
Course Content Some themes such as the establishment and progression history of museum studies in the world and Turkey, the elements of museum, the aims of museums, aggregation, documentation, conservation and education will be discussed.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.
