Course Objective The western civilization from the early modern times to the 20th century. Change and transformation in western societies in the Renaissance, Reform and Enlightenment periods.
Course Content Enlightenment thought and social-economic, political causes of the French Revolution, The Industrial Revolution, Liberalism. Perception of capitalism in England, France and Germany; Karl Marx and Socialism.
