Course Objective This course handles Turkish economic and social history by basing the tools of historical and comparative sociology in order to show contemprorary Turkey’s socio-historical backstage. While doing this, relations of general Turkish government with judges and connected gorups which take place in civil society, handling subjects from historical perspectives about structure of Turkish government ‘s nature of autonomy and its content and different approaches about represantation and sovereignity,gaining students the ability of analysis of how the government is organized in relation to social groups and institutions and different institutionalizationof economy and sociabilitiy,taeching main construction of social history are aims of this course.
Course Content This course tries to teach social history by showing social and administrative organizations and tries to show Turkey’s socio-cultural condition in the process from world war I to the first years of Republic.
