Course Objective To learn how to work with electricity and the risks of occupational accidents and occupational diseases in pressure systems.
Course Content Safety in Electrical Facilities, Maintenance and Repair in Electrical Works, Safety and Explosive Environments in Electrical Installations, Static Electricity, Lightning Protection, Grounding System, Control of Electrical Installation, Control of Electrical Installation, Insulation Fault, Short Circuit, Line Contact. Pressure and Pressure Units, High Pressure Measuring Instruments, High Pressure Vessels, Working with High Pressure Systems and Job Safety, Types and Classification of Pressure Vessels, Risks and Preventive Measures of Pressure Vessels, Safety in Boilers, Safety in Compressors, Pressure Tanks and Taps, (Preliminary Permission, Measurement, Surveillance), Inspection, Testing Techniques and Registrations of Pressure Vessels, Responsibilities of Manufacturers, Occupational Health and Safety Precautions to be Obtained from Closed Areas, Ventilation in Closed and Narrow Areas, Explosion and Fire, Work equipment to be used.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1To recognize the correct voltage and the alternating voltage and to understand the danger limits
2To recognize the concepts of current, voltage, resistance and power and to associate them with the risk factor by understanding the mathematical relations between them
3To learn the risks and safeguards according to pressure, pressure units, pressure vessels and types, compressors, tanks, cylinders and indoor and outdoor locations.
