Course Objective Purpose of this course is to study the fundamentals of MIS and to define the strategic importance of Information and its management in the global business and IT.
Course Content Introduction to IS in organizations, main concepts, hardware and software, organizing data and information, telecommunications, Internet, Intranets and Extranets, electronic and mobile commerce systems, information and decision support systems, knowledge management and specialized information systems, foundations of business intelligence, database and information management, project management, system development, ethical and social issues in IS.
