Course Objective With this course, it is aimed to propose a method that allows multi-dimensional evaluation for the creation of a bicycle path network in urban and rural areas, on the basis of popularization of bicycle transportation, which is seen as a sustainable transportation alternative for students.
Course Content Types of transportation and the basic principles of Sustainable Transportation Planning, the effects of natural, cultural and socio-economic environment on route selection, methods used in cycling route route selection, bicycle path route selection, design of bicycle transportation systems and landscaping and maintenance works on bicycle paths will be explained.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.
