Course Objective Introducing the basic concepts of the economy and learning the distribution process between alternative uses of limited resources in order to maximize the profits and benefits of economic units such as firms and households, having general knowledge about market types and functioning of markets.
Course Content Basic subjects of economy such as Demand, Supply, Price and Income, Cost and Production, Perfect Competition, Monopoly, Imperfect Competition, Factor Markets, Welfare Economy, General Equilibrium will be explained.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Determines the causes of changes in supply and demand in the goods and services market and estimates the effects of these changes on the markets.
2Explains and interprets utility and profit maximization by using basic economic concepts such as production, cost, income, marginal income, marginal utility and budget constraint.
3Identify and analyze social preferences.
